This course promotes a multi-agency approach to the problem of elder abuse for frontline law enforcement professionals. The interactive, problem-solving based training will draw from attendee’s experiences and provides them with strategies to effectively investigate elder abuse.
Topics include:
· Investigative strategies for law enforcement
· Local & State resources to assist law enforcement and victims
· Legal overview and remedies in elder abuse cases
· Communicating with older adults and witnesses
· Detection and identification of financial exploitation, neglect, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
