Fitness Center

WCTC's Fitness Center is a convenient way to fit in a workout around your class schedule. Join a fitness class, participate in a fitness challenge or work out on your own. We have resources to keep you on track or help you get started on your fitness goals.

Fitness Center Access

The Fitness Center is free to use for current credit students and employees. You’ll need a WCTC myCard to access the facility. Get your myCard at the Service Desk located in the Student Enrichment Center, B-110, and complete the online waiver.

  • Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Friday: 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Equipment you can use in the Fitness Center includes:

  • Treadmills
  • Elliptical machines
  • Upright and recumbent bikes
  • Rowing machine
  • Multi-station weight machine
  • Free weights
  • Functional fitness equipment including stability and medicine balls, resistance bands and TRX

Group fitness classes are a great way to help you include regular exercise in your healthy lifestyle. All classes provide options to accommodate your individual fitness level.

  • Both the men’s and women’s locker rooms have private showers, hairdryers and lockers available to rent.
  • You must have your online waiver completed and have your myCard before access is granted.
  • WCTC is not responsible for loss, theft or damage.
  • Use of cameras, including cell phone cameras, is prohibited in and about the locker room.

Daily Use Lockers (Free)

  • Daily use lockers are available free of charge for use only while at the facility, and items must be removed before the end of the day.
  • Members are to bring their own lock (available to purchase at the Bookstore).
  • Locks left on lockers overnight will be cut, and locker contents will be removed and placed in the Lost and Found (Welcome Center, C-001).

Locker Rentals ($25/Rental Period)

The Fitness Center is an unsupervised facility. To ensure a positive experience for all, please follow these guidelines:

Access to the Center

Fitness Center Rules

  • Clean machines and equipment after use and return weights and equipment to their proper place.
  • Guests are not allowed at the Fitness Center. Anyone granting non-members access to the center will have their membership revoked. This includes sharing your myCard with a non-members or letting multiple people into the facility.
  • Wear proper gym attire; shirts and clean athletic shoes must be worn at all times.
  • Accept full responsibility for all personal belongings.

Safety

  • Keep hands and feet away from moving parts. 
  • If unfamiliar with any equipment, review the directions posted on or near the machine. 
  • Use of free weights over 50 pounds is prohibited.
  • Do not attempt to repair or adjust any equipment that has malfunctioned.

General Facility Usage

  • Tobacco, food and beverages (except for water) are prohibited in the Fitness Center.
  • Personal music devices are recommended. TV audio will be muted with closed captioning.
  • Please adhere to the 30-minute time limit on cardio equipment when others are waiting. 
  • The phone is to be used for emergencies or maintenance issues only.
  • Damage to any WCTC property is the responsibility of the individual involved. 

Locker Room Guidelines

  • Daily use lockers are available free of charge for use only while at the facility; locks are to be provided by members.
  • Locks are not allowed to remain on daily use lockers overnight; locks left on lockers overnight will be cut and the locker’s contents will be removed and placed in Lost and Found (Welcome Center, C-001).
  • A limited number of lockers may be available for rent. 
  • WCTC is not responsible for loss, theft or damage.
  • Use of cameras, including cell phone cameras, is prohibited in and about the locker room.

Accidents and Facility Issues

  • Report accidents to the Environmental Health and Safety Office at 262.691.5226 within 24 hours of the incident.
  • Report facility issues to WCTC’s Wellness Coordinator at 262.695.3454 or fitnesscenter@wctc.edu.

Failure to follow these guidelines could result in loss of membership or removal from the premises.
