Legal Update / K-9 Considerations/ Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)

• Legal Update (2hrs)
  • Updated case rulings and law changes
• The Police Service Dog (2hrs)
  • Orientation on patrol, narcotic, firearm/evidence recovery and electronic storage devices. Understanding the capabilities and limitations of deployments  
• TECC (4hrs)
  • Hands-on training in direct/indirect threat care while under attack or in adverse conditions

Mandatory Equipment:

• Note taking materials
• Empty duty belt
• Patrol Vest Carrier (if applicable)
• Personally worn tourniquets or other first aid equipment
