Spring 2020 Semester Courses
Whether a novice student or an experienced professional such as an interior designer/decorator, antique dealer or upholsterer, learn new skills or enhance current occupational skills that can assist in future employment opportunities, which may include starting your own business. Focus on the selection, estimation and application of fabric; how to use tools and equipment; construction processes such as webbing, springs, rolled edges, frames, fillings and minor structure repairs and how to cost out your product. Students should bring furniture, pliers, screwdriver, tape measure, pencil, tack hammer, seam ripper, sharp scissors, felt-tip pen, large garbage bag and medium-sized box to the first class. A more detailed supply list will be given out at the first class. First-time students should not bring sofas or recliners to work on.
