Description
Learning to testify effectively is a skill that should not be acquired through trial and error. This course provides officers with a foundational understanding that enables them to deliver truthful, valid, and reliable testimony, ensuring pride in their professionalism. Attendees will learn what is expected by the court and the prosecutor, as well as proper preparation, demeanor, and the effect of body language.
Attendees will also review and analyze case studies and observe examples of testimony to identify common mistakes and recognize language traps intended to portray the investigator as unprofessional or untruthful.
