WCTC, YMCA of Greater Waukesha County announce new partnership
Waukesha County Technical College and the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County (YGWC) has announced a strategic partnership that will bring a new full-service YMCA to the WCTC campus in the coming years. The collaboration also connects two of Waukesha County’s premier education, community health and wellness organizations.
Under this partnership, WCTC and YGWC will collaborate on developing a modern YMCA facility, which would be located on WCTC’s main Pewaukee campus. It will serve students, staff, and faculty at the College, as well as residents of Waukesha County and the surrounding areas. The new YMCA facility will run a variety of fitness, health and recreational programs along with drop-in child watch services during scheduled hours.
The project planning and fundraising portion of the new YMCA is anticipated to take two to three years, followed by sote work and construction.
