Gain knowledge and skills relating to Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) – also known as
Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding – to join metal using heat and electricity. Develop

How To Start
Prospective certificate students do not need to complete an application for admission to WCTC.
First semester students may register during Open Registration for General Public.
Prerequisite and program restrictions may apply.
After the start of their first class, students must declare their intent to complete
a certificate.
Certificate students are eligible to receive priority registration for their second
semester.
This certificate does not qualify for financial aid. To qualify for most federal financial
aid, a student must be enrolled in a technical diploma or associate degree program.
Earn certificates, technical diplomas and/or industry credentials along this pathway.
Start with some courses for entry-level employment, and continue with additional courses
for higher wages and job advancement.
Earn credit for prior learning for the college-level knowledge and skills that you've already acquired through advanced
high school classes, previous ollege coursework, self-study, military training work
or volunteer experience.
WCTC has credit transfer agreements with many four-year institutions that allow our degree graduates to transfer credits
into a baccalaureate program, often at junior-level standing.
