This program addresses the growing need for highly professional, competent technicians to work in automotive dealerships. Learn on the latest automotive vehicles, components, educational materials and state-of-the-art equipment available. Develop knowledge on engines, fuel management, electronics, transmissions/transaxles, brakes and air conditioning, and get an introduction to hybrids and diesel technology.
This program includes general studies courses that help round out your education and college transfer options.
How To Apply
- Apply online and pay the $30 application fee.
- Submit a copy of one of the following to demonstrate your reading, writing and math skills:
- High school GPA of 2.60 or above. Transcript must include completed coursework through the 11th grade.*
- ACT, ACCUPLACER® or GED - 2014 Series (165 or higher).*
- Prior college coursework may meet this requirement in whole or in part. Courses must be in the specific area(s), and you must have earned a grade of C or better (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) in the courses.*
- If none of the above apply, sign up for the ACCUPLACER® placement test.

Career Salaries
$37,500 – $60,700 annually

- Gain hands-on learning through a technical internship at an area automotive dealership or repair shop.
- Students can earn all eight Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) student certifications:
- Suspension and Steering

- Students can earn the EPA 609 Refrigerant Recycling certification.
Accreditation
This program has achieved the ASE Master Automobile Service Technology Accreditation from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
