Description
In this course, attendees will learn how to solicit information legally, evaluate credibility, and learn proper informant control tactics to ensure protection for the officer, the agency, and the informant. Real-life case studies with video will be reviewed and discussed as a class. Finally, attendees will learn the tools needed to comply with the new 2023 WI Act 217, requiring protection of informant identity.
This class is designed for any law enforcement officer (patrol, investigations, or support staff) involved in arresting, processing, or interviewing suspects for various criminal or municipal violations. It is restricted to sworn law enforcement and support staff only.
