Description
A well-written report can significantly impact an investigation and prosecution of a case. Unfortunately, little time is typically invested in sharpening and improving this essential function of police work. Most officers have not taken a report writing course since their basic academy training. This course will highlight areas of report writing that officers typically lack.
This training will also discuss Terry Stops and how to properly document them. Officers will also learn how to document their use of force, as it is often taken for granted, until officers are scrutinized for it. Officers will leave this class feeling more confident in their report writing skills by using the techniques taught throughout the course.
