Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVOC) Training

 

A series of driving techniques tailored to enhance safe emergency vehicle responses; vehicle contact techniques that emphasize reaction to sudden assaults, or their early warning signs.

 

 

Legal Update/Duty to Intervene

 

  • Legal Update

New case law and updated legislation.

 

  • Duty to Intervene

Steps in expanding personal accountability to cultural accountability will be discussed to prevent excessive use of police force.

 

 

 

 

Mandatory Equipment:

 

Needed for EVOC

  • Gun belt with handcuff key. 
  • Remove all weapons and ammunition prior to class. 
  • Dress for weather conditions.

 

Needed for Legal Update/Duty to Intervene

  • Note taking materials.
  • Handouts will be provided.
