| Description Supervisor In-Service Procedural Justice (Organizational Fairness): Moving Concept to Practice This four-hour presentation will assist attendees to understand the value of the Procedural Justice mindset and view Procedural Justice not only as a function but also as a philosophy. Attendees will learn how it can be implemented in their span of control and even their entire agency to gradually increase community support, confidence, and trust; and often with very little time and effort.
Supervising Criminal Investigations Carrying out and over-seeing professional criminal investigations are crucial functions in law enforcement. This four-hour presentation is designed to introduce supervisors to a structured approach to ensure criminal investigations are competently and thoroughly performed by patrol officers, as well as investigators.
Instructor Victor Beecher is Associate Director at Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety. Mr. Beecher oversees the Police Training Division and teaches a number of management training courses including the School of Police Staff and Command and Supervision of Police Personnel. After twenty-six years of service to his community, Mr. Beecher retired from the Milwaukee Police Department in 2016. During his career, he worked in various roles including, Detective, Lieutenant of Detectives, Director of Training and District Captain.
