Description:

This course meets the NFPA 1002, Standard for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications, Aerial Apparatus, and educational requirements for WTCS Driver/Operator-Aerial certification. To be eligible for certification testing upon successful completion of this course, students must have WTCS Driver/Operator-Pumper certification.

·        Course Prerequisites:

·        Department Affiliation

·        Driver/Operator - Pumper Certification

·        Valid Driver's License

·        Course Limitations:  5 Students max per department apparatus

• In-Person Sessions:
  The class will meet Monday through Friday, June 15th to June 19th , from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.
• Pre-Work Requirement:
  Students are required to complete online pre-course work via Canvas between June 8th to June 15th, 2026.
• Post-Work Requirement July 3rd  to July 17th, 2026: 
  Driver verification with department, Pre-Trip Inspection and Over the road state test.
