Group of people at event tablePEWAUKEE, Wis. (Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025) – Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) hosted a highly successful fall open house on Thursday, Nov. 6, welcoming a large and engaged crowd to the Pewaukee campus. The event's attendance exceeded 1,400 guests, including potential students, and their family members and friends, marking the largest turnout for a WCTC open house in several years.

The high level of interest immediately resulted in dozens of prospective students submitting applications for WCTC programs that evening.

The four-hour event provided attendees with comprehensive information on the College and its 170-plus areas of study, including certificate, associate degree, technical diploma and apprenticeship programs.

Guests had opportunities to interact with the College, including exploring programs and touring state-of-the-art training labs; watching demonstrations; meeting with representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, Advising and other areas; participating in sessions on dual credit opportunities and much more.

Ashleigh Zarling, dean of Enrollment Management, said visitors brought a high level of interest and excitement to the event, creating a positive vibe.

"The energy across campus was incredible as students and families explored open labs, tested equipment and connected with faculty and staff. Everywhere you turned, there was laughter, conversation and a genuine sense of belonging that makes WCTC so special,” she said. “We’re already looking forward to carrying that energy into our next open house in February and welcoming even more future students to campus."

The spring 2026 open house is set for Thursday, Feb. 26, from 3-7 p.m. To learn about other opportunities to see the campus, check out www.wctc.edu/visit.
