In 1981, Congress passed a resolution declaring the week of March 7th to be "Women's History Week." In 1987, the week was expanded to a month-long celebration. Women's History Month provides an important opportunity to recognize and honor the contributions of women throughout history, and to work towards a more just and equitable world for all people, regardless of gender.

Special Guest Speaker: Helen Zia

An activist, author, and former journalist, Zia's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Feminist Majority Foundation's Women of Courage Award and the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Digital Journalism. She continues to be an advocate for social justice and equality, speaking out on issues such as immigrant rights, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ rights.
