Description:

This course meets the NFPA 1001, Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications, training requirements for WTCS Firefighter II certification. (Students must also have completed the Hazardous Materials Operations course, in addition to holding WTCS Firefighter I certification to be eligible for WTCS Firefighter II certification testing.)  Through classroom and practical skills instruction, the student will learn to apply advanced firefighting skills and education to mitigate various emergencies.

Students must be firefighter I certified to take this course.

Dress code is required.

Students must attend a mandatory program expectation session prior to starting class.  Session is Wednesday, January 12, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Rapid Intervention Training is included in this class at a cost of $32.70

Any student participating in Firefighter I or II training must be evaluated by a physician or other primary qualified health care provider to ensure the student is able to perform the essential firefighting tasks without presenting an unreasonable risk to the safety of others.
