Description:

This course meets the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, EMS Section, requirements for Critical Care Paramedic credentialing.  Students receive didactic, laboratory, and clinical content and experiences necessary to supplement existing Paramedic knowledge to practice within the Wisconsin Critical Care Paramedic Scope of Practice (once credentialed by DHS).

  • Lecture/Lab: Wednesdays  08:00 – 12:50 pm
    • WCTC Main Campus – 800 Main Street, Pewaukee, WI
  • Clinical rotations (approximately 40 hours) will be scheduled during the class term. Rotations will offer a varied schedule and will be offered based on student availability where possible. Clinical rotations will involve both hospital rotations as well as simulation clinicals at the WCTC campus and Aurora Lakeland Simulation Center in Elkhorn. Hospital rotations require students to produce a health requirements form documenting vaccinations (including COVID vaccine), TB skin tests, physical and a drug screen. A background check is required as well.
  • Uniform is required for class/clinical rotations (department uniform pants and WCTC branded polo shirt is acceptable)
