WCTC's College Access Partners Summit is designed for teachers, coaches, counselors, principals, community partners – or anyone in a role that works with college-bound students. When it comes to post-high school options for your students, stay informed on the latest trends and updates on the technical college pathway.

Human Resources: Try your hand at talent acquisition with a hands-on activity matching up the best available candidates to open positions.

Hospitality: Spend time in WCTC's student-run fine dining restaurant, The Classic Room. Learn how to fold a linen napkin, then jump behind the Bistro bar for a mixology lesson (and tasting!)

Technology: Hear from a current IT student about how WCTC's programs give them the skills they need to get ahead in this competitive field.

School of Arts & Sciences

Math and Science: Swab the inside of your mouth and put the cells on a stained slide, then use a microscope to see what different kinds of bacteria you can find.

Humanities, Communications and Social Science: See how WCTC takes students beyond the typical lecture experience by teaching psychology through hands-on learning and application.

College and Career Readiness: Solve real-world challenges students face using the various resources available to them for our Integrated Education & Training and Liberal Arts programs.

School of Applied Technologies

Automotive: See the inside workings of what powers an electric vehicle and get hands-on experience with the equipment and training required to work on one.

Robotics: Our students build automated systems to streamline everyday manufacturing processes. Come experience our automation playground of students' final projects including ice hockey, racecars and even a little golf.

Electronic Systems: Explore the underlying language of computers while you build a binary counter to take home with you.

School of Health

Medical Assistant: Learn about the various roles of a medical assistant and the professional opportunities available to program graduates while participating in a hands-on activity in patient care.

Health Information Technology: Try your hand at medical coding while you explore one of the many career pathways in the health information profession.

Nursing: Test out your bedside manner in our Human Patient Simulation Lab while you learn about the various roles nurses play on the medical team.

School of Protective & Human Services

Cosmetology: Enjoy haircut demonstrations on both male and female mannequins with a variety of hair textures, highlighting the skills students learn in our Cosmetology program.

Criminal Justice: Get a first-hand look at our use-of-force simulator to better understand decision-making for criminal justice professionals.

Substance Use Disorder Counseling: Explore the Stages of Change model, a widely recognized approach to helping clients with substance use disorders achieve meaningful behavior change.

Fire Protection: Take a tour of the fire apparatus bay and gain exposure to donning firefighter personal protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus.
