Follow the steps below to earn transfer credit for non-WCTC courses:
Apply to WCTC
Apply for admission to one of WCTC's programs.
Send Transcripts
Request official transcripts from each previous institution you attended. Transcripts must be sent directly to the WCTC Admissions Office by mail or electronically. Transcripts sent to you first, even unopened, are considered unofficial unless sealed. Once you apply to a program and send your official transcripts, your coursework will be evaluated.
Military Transcripts
- Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy veterans should request a Joint Services Transcript.
- Air Force veterans should request a transcript from Community College of the Air Force.
International Coursework
- International coursework must be evaluated by a NACES-approved credentialing agency.
- Only course-by-course evaluations are accepted.
- You must complete a placement assessment before your international credits can be evaluated for transfer.
- Insitutions must be formally recognized by the country's ministry of education or equivalent.
Check Your Email
You will receive an email one to two weeks after we receive your transcripts. Once admitted, view transfer credits and how they apply to your program in DegreeWorks using your WCTC username and password.
Review Credit Awarded
- Log into your myWCTC account. Under "Academic Profile," click "View Transcript."
- DegreeWorks also shows how your transfer credits apply toward your program requirements.
More to Know
- Only courses with a grade of "C" (2.0/4.0 scale) or better will be reviewed for transfer credit. Time limits may apply based on the course and/or program.
- You must complete 25 percent of your program coursework in residence at WCTC. For certificates of 12 credits or less, you must complete at least one of the certificate courses in residence. Transfer credits do not count as credits earned in residence.

- Transfer credit may affect veteran benefits and financial aid. Review the 150 percent maximum credit policy and consult with the Financial Aid Office for more information.
