Pretech for Education | 9-credit Technical Certificate
Gain an introduction to child development and child behavior, setting you up for a rewarding career in education. You'll build valuable skills and earn credits you can apply toward WCTC's Early Childhood Education or Foundations of Teacher Education associate degree programs.
Your tuition is covered! Students in this track only pay for textbooks and our mandatory student accident-only insurance ($4.50 per semester).

What will I learn in the Pretech for Education certificate?
You will take three courses to explore early childhood careers, child development, behavior guidance and the U.S. education system.

When are the classes?
Classes are two days a week at night on Mondays and Wednesdays and are a mix of in-person and online classes.
How much does it cost?
A grant covers your tuition. You’ll only pay about $150 for textbooks for all three classes. If cost is a concern, let us know. We can help.
