Description:
The Special Operations Rescue Technician course (40 hours) is a comprehensive course in the applied science of tactical medicine and rescue techniques. The knowledge obtained regarding high-threat rescue techniques and tactical operational medical treatment modalities will empower the tactical rescuer to become adaptable and successful in a high-threat environment. See prerequsite requirements below:
Due to the sensitive nature of the law enforcement information provided, one of the following two criteria must be met:
- A current employee or affiliate of a federal, state or local law enforcement agency
- A state of Wisconsin-licensed EMT-Basic, Advanced EMT, EMT-Intermediate, EMT Paramedic, RN or MD, and have law enforcement, fire department, ambulance service, or hospital emergency department affiliation
