Pre-Tech Network Fundamentals

Course Description

Learn the fundamentals of local area networking, defining networks with the OSI Model and understanding wired and wireless networks. Gain an understanding of the Internet Protocol, implementing TCP/IP and working with networking services. Additional topics include wide area networks, network infrastructures, network security and desktop operating system basics. This is a companion support class for Network Fundamentals, primarily for IET students.
