Depression Tx: Old, New & Next
Course Description
Review traditional and widely accepted treatment of depression and discuss contemporary and future treatment modalities. Explore therapy and pharmacological interventions; contemporary treatment interventions; TMS; and integrative care including the role of diet, lifestyle and the biome, which may also play a role in the treatment of depression. Psychedelic assisted therapy is right on the heels of the use of ketamine in the treatment of depression and anxiety. This course is intended for nurses and other healthcare professionals seeking information about the treatment of depression. This course awards three nursing contact hours.
