MEDIA ALERT: Show off your ride at WCTC’s ‘Let’s Taco ‘Bout Cars’ show
PEWAUKEE, Wis. (Monday, Sept. 15, 2025) – Waukesha County Technical College and its Student Leadership Council (formerly Student Government Association) are inviting the community to its popular car show this Friday, Sept. 19, to showcase and view classic cars, hot rods, sweet imports and other unique vehicles.
The event, “Let’s Taco ‘Bout Cars,” will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the main parking lot of the Pewaukee Campus (Lot 7), with proceeds going to the WCTC Campus Cupboard, the College’s on-campus food pantry.
Event details:
- What: A car show featuring a variety of vehicles, from classic cars to hot rods. Attendees can also purchase food from Romero's Taco Truck. Awards will be given in five divisions -- Vintage, Classic, Import, Sports Car and Student -- plus a People's Choice award. Attendees can also purchase food from Romero’s Taco Truck.
- When: Friday, Sept. 19, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Where: WCTC’s main Pewaukee campus, parking lot (Lot 7)
- Cost: The event is free to attend, but the cost to show a car is $5 for students and $10 for the general public.
Now in its third year, the car show continues to grow, attracting around 60 cars in its first year and 80 last year. Those interested in showing a car should register in advance and may begin to arrive at 4 p.m.
