DH Process 2 Clinical Exp

Course Description

This course is required for students that require further clinical practice for all of the content and curriculum previously covered in 508-106, DH Process 2. Under direct supervision, apply patient care assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation skills to provide comprehensive care for various levels of calculus and perio types. Reinforce application of fluoride and desensitizing agents, whole mouth assessment, comprehensive periodontal exams, application of sealants and patient classification. Removal of supragingival stains, dental plaque, calcified accretions, and deposits is also reinforced. Gain additional experience in exposing radiographs on patients and reinforce the applications of dental health safety skills.
