Course Description

Examine the dynamic and rapidly developing sports, esports, entertainment and event industry from a strategic marketing perspective. Explore the stakeholders, competitive landscape, media and trends in the industry. Identify goals and objectives for corporate sponsorships, including brand image and target audiences. Examine relevant metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and return on investment, along with strategies to activate and leverage sponsorship. Learn to examine and interpret an actual sponsorship contract. An application-based team project will research and evaluate the value of corporate sponsorships for specific teams, festivals and other events.
