Earn credit for prior learning (CPL) for the college-level knowledge and skills that you’ve already acquired through advanced high school classes, previous college coursework, self-study, military training, work or volunteer experience. Wisconsin high school students can take courses that count toward both high school and college requirements.
If you've completed coursework at another accredited college or university, you may be able to transfer those credits to WCTC.
Earn WCTC credit by completing national exams including AP, IB, CLEP and DSST.
Demonstrate the course-equivalent skills that you developed through work, volunteer, education, training or other life learning experiences.
Earn WCTC credit for the industry credentials you have acquired through previous employment or education.
You can earn credit for what you learned through courses completed and military occupations held during your service.
