Employment in the transportation industry has grown 6.6 percent since 2010, and that figure continues to rise. WCTC is proud to offer programs in truck driving, automotive and diesel. Our students gain valuable hands-on training using the latest technology available in their field.
Automotive Programs
If you like working on cars, have a knack for troubleshooting and problem solving issues with automobiles, posess a strong work ethic and enjoy working with customers, a job in the automotive technology industry might be for you.
- Automotive Technology - General Option: 60-credit Associate Degree
- Automotive Technology - GM ASEP Option: 60-credit Associate Degree
- Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair: 21-credit Technical Diploma
- Automotive Maintenance Technician: 45-credit Technical Diploma
- GM Service Technician: 45-credit Technical Diploma
Diesel Programs
If you’re interested in working as a mechanic in the truck driving industry, a job in the diesel equipment industry might be for you. Those in this field must have patience, be able to think on their feet, and possess analytical, mathematical and electronic skills.
- Diesel Equipment Technology: 60-credit Associate Degree
- Diesel Equipment Mechanic: 45-credit Technical Diploma
- Diesel Maintenance Technician: 22-credit Technical Diploma
Truck Driving Program
If you enjoy driving and have a clean driving record, possess the physical stamina to be behind the wheel for several hours at a time, and are interested in truck maintenance and mechanics, a career in the trucking industry may be for you. Those in this industry are good time managers and can work independently.
