Description
Situational Awareness for Teens
This 4-hour class was designed to introduce and educate teens in the concept of Situational Awareness and the importance of managing their surroundings, recognizing threats to their personal safety, enhancing their physical confidence and an introduction of basic personal self- defense tactics. You will be provided with instruction into basic physical skills that can be deployed to protect yourselves if you become subject to an attack. Must be at least 14 years of age to attend.
Topics Include:
• Define the process of Threat Assessment
• Self-Defense tactics to include hitting training “dummies” and bags
• Verbalization
What to bring:
• Note taking materials
• Comfortable clothing
