Advanced Officer Involved Deaths and Other Critical Incidents
September 12-16, 2022
8:00am - 4:30pm
The advanced five-day, hands-on, scenario-based course for law enforcement investigators and supervisors will provide critical training in the classroom and at instructor-created crime scenes that are based on actual incidents. The course will include a comprehensive review of investigative responsibilities, duties, tasks, and objectives, along with a review of relevant Wisconsin statutes. Students will be provided opportunities to demonstrate the implementation of course objectives and evaluate the information derived from their investigation individually, and in concert with other investigators as a team.
Who should attend:
This course is specifically designed for law enforcement members of investigative units or teams who are expected participate in the investigation of police-involved critical incidents but have not received formal training. All experienced law enforcement investigators, and supervisors who oversee investigations of homicides and significant bodily-injury-involved incidents are encouraged to attend.
