Description:

Learn basic life support skills that may be used at the scene of an accident or illness, until advanced level care and transport can be arranged. This program includes topics such as patient movement, airway management and a variety of advanced emergency skills.  Ideal training for those interested in Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement and Healthcare.

Students who successfully complete the EMR course are eligible to obtain his or her initial emergency medical responder provider certification from the Wisconsin Department of Human Services (DHS).

 

Extra Info:

EMR is a great pathway to becoming an EMT, but can also be taken as a stand-alone course.  Students must attend a mandatory program expectation session on Wednesday, October 7 at 1:00 pm.
