Description:

This course meets the NFPA 1001, Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications, training requirements for WTCS Firefighter II certification. (Students must also have completed the Hazardous Materials Operations course, in addition to holding WTCS Firefighter I certification to be eligible for WTCS Firefighter II certification testing.) Through classroom and practical skills instruction, the student will learn to apply advanced firefighting skills and education to mitigate various emergencies.

Other Course Information:

  • Students must be Firefighter I certified before signing up to take this class
  • Dress code is required. Turn-out gear and SCBA is required for lab sessions.
  • Each student must attend a mandatory program expectation session the week prior to the course starting.  Program Expectation Session Wednesday, 5/22 from 6pm - 8pm
  • Students will receive a packet of information in the mail prior to the program expectation session. Please be sure to review the information carefully.
  • Practical Test: Sat, 8/24/18 - 10:00 am
  • Written Test:  Tues, 8/20/18 - 6:00 pm
