Description:

This course is incredibly accelerated an is offered in a 10-week format vs our traditional 6 month proram. Students will be in class for 20 hours/week and expected to spend between 20-30 hours of outside class time studying. Students are highly encouraged to make this their priority and NOT work during this intense program.

Get the training you need to become a licensed EMT in this accelerated 10-week summer program. 

Emergency medical services providers are the first to respond to emergency calls. In this program, develop the skills and knowledge necessary to assess and manage all types of injuries and acute illnesses, while providing safe and rapid transport to a medical facility. Learn about airway management, bleeding and shock, emergency childbirth and automated defibrillation.

Students can complete this program in 10 weeks.

This program kicks off with a Program Information Session on Wednesday, May 29. Class begins Friday, May 31.

How This Program Is Offered
This is offered on campus in a traditional classroom/lab setting for 20 hours per week. You will also attend two four-hour clinical rotations at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Extra Info:

Priority registration will be given to students affiliated with in-district fire departments or proof of enrollment in health educational program.

A CPR Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer card is required as a prerequisite to this course.

Students will also be registered to attend 8 hours of clinical rotations at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department. Students are required to complete all immunizations and healthcare requirements including a 10 panel drug screen.

Students must submit a Criminal History Background check prior to entry into the program.
