Description
This how to course will provide the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities that are critical to the success of every professional criminal investigator. Students will augment their skills using scenario-based instruction and in-class assignments involving actual and fictional criminal investigations in order to assess the need for a search warrant, determine what evidence can and should be sought, and properly develop and apply for a valid search warrant and related court orders.
Students will write multiple affidavits, discuss them in class and submit one for assessment and instructor feedback.
