Description
Course Description:
This class is offered to Wisconsin Law Enforcement Officers to assist with minimum handgun requirements. Upon successful completion of the handgun training, the officer will meet the DOJ Requirement for annual firearms qualification through 06/30/2020.
This class is also offered to qualified retired law enforcement officers for HR218 annual qualification.
Materials/Equipment Needed:
Each officer will need a minimum of 44 rounds for the Qualification Course. It is recommended that the officer bring additional rounds for warm up drills and skills review to assist with passing the qualification course. Rounds may also be needed for section(s) that may have to be repeated (approx. 150 rounds). No steel or aluminum casings or steel bullets are allowed.
Participants will need their duty belt, handgun, ballistic vest, eye protection, ear protection (muffs), and two spare magazines. Only strong side holsters are allowed (no ankle holsters, cross draw, etc.).
Prerequisites:
This training is for certified law enforcement officers currently affiliated with a law enforcement agency and/or qualified retired law enforcement officers.
Credit:
2 hours T&S credit.
Upon successful completion, officer’s results will be entered into Acadis.
Qualified retired officers will receive the Qualification Certificate.
