Description:
This four-day course will prepare instructor-candidates to perform in the classroom. It is a pre-requisite course for all LESB-approved specialized training courses. Competencies include planning and managing learning, training and evaluation methods, delivering teaching scenarios and other instructional strategies. Instructor-candidates will be expected to present in front of the class and be evaluated by their peers. They will also learn strategies for delivering and accepting constructive criticism in a controlled environment.
This curriculum is endorsed by the Law Enforcement Standards Board and is required of instructors seeking LESB certification.
Materials:
Students are required to bring a wireless internet ready laptop with PowerPoint installed and a flash drive.
