Description

EVOC/Firearms

  • EVOC Training

A series of driving techniques tailored to enhance safe emergency vehicle responses; vehicle contact techniques that emphasize reaction to sudden assaults, or their early warning signs; and the deployment of ballistic shields in and around emergency vehicles at high risk calls or situations.

 

  • Firearms Training (NOTE:  We will not be conducting State Qualification during this training.)
    • Handgun and rifle movement
    • Patrol shield movement while shooting
    • Team shooting tactics
    • Moving to cover

 

Mandatory Equipment:

NEEDED FOR EVOC

Gun belt with handcuff key.  Remove all weapons and ammunition prior to class.  Dress for weather conditions.

 

NEEDED FOR FIREARMS

Duty belt, holster, taser holster, flashlight, baton holder, handcuffs, keepers, loose fitting clothes, pants, belt, body armor, appropriate clothing for weather, AND:

  • BALLISTIC SHIELD USED ON PATROL
  • HANDGUN and 100 HANDGUN ROUNDS            
  • RIFLE (M-4 STYLE), 3 RIFLE MAGAZINES, and 200 RIFLE ROUNDS
  • Ear and eye protection and body armor
