Where do I find my Student ID number?

Your Student ID number appears on your schedule/bill, which you will receive when you complete your registration. Your Student ID# will begin with a leading zero or zeroes and is a 9 digit number.

Note: Please make a note of your Student ID number as we will ask you for this number when we access your records.

The Student ID number was created to protect the privacy of your social security number and to comply with the new state legislation which went into effect January 1, 2000.

Waukesha County Technical College will continue to collect your social security number. This number will be used for Federal reporting purposes to comply with the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997. This ACT was created for the purpose of financial aid, Hope Scholarships and the Lifetime Learning Credits. We will keep your social security number confidential.

How do I get a copy of my schedule?

Enter the Secured Access area, go to the Student & Financial Aid menu, then the Registration menu. From this menu choose either Student Detail Schedule or Student Schedule by Day & Time. Select the appropriate term from the drop-down menu and submit your request.

How do I drop or add classes?

Adding and dropping courses are allowed through the 80% refund period. Once a course that is being added has started, approval from the Associate Dean is required.

    What does low enrollment affect?
The District reserves the right to cancel classes because of inadequate enrollment and to restrict further admission to classes, which are filled, or on a waiting list basis.

What is the wait list procedure?

Students are moved into sections, as openings occur, and a new schedule is mailed. Students are responsible for resolving any time conflicts or duplicate registration.

During the week prior to the start of classes, students will be contacted by phone. WCTC reserves the right the rescind wait list order in the week preceding the start of class, if unable to contact student(s). Confirm your primary phone number, if placed on a wait list.

Students, who are registered in a class, may not be wait listed in other sections of the same course. Students will be dropped from the wait list.

Students, who are registered in a class, may not be registered in another section of the same course. Students may be dropped from duplicate course registration.
