What is the cost of taking an Internet course?

Tuition & Fees Information

Tuition is presently $70.00 per credit. Tuition is subject to change by State legislative ruling. You may pay by MasterCard or VISA when you register or an invoice will be sent to your home for payment within 5 days. Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.

Online Course Fees

$10.00 per credit (minimum)

Other fees

For each credit there will be a minimum material fee of $4.00 and a $4.20 activity fee.

Out-Of-State Tuition

All students residing outside of Wisconsin are required to pay a non-resident tuition fee. The total per credit charges assessed to out-of-state students for Internet classes is presently $10.00 per credit ($77.00 + $10.00 = $80 per credit)
Note: WCTC has a Reciprocal Admission Agreement with Minnesota. If a student presents an approved non-resident guarantee from his/her home district, the student will be exempt from the payment on the non-resident fee.

Tuition & Refund Schedule

Except in the case of cancellation or discontinuance of courses, the student must request the refund through the Registration Office. PLEASE NOTE that all requests for 100% refunds must be made to the Registration Office prior to the first scheduled day of the course. Refunds will be processed based on calendar days* beginning with the first instructional day of the Summer semester. Refunds will be processed according to the following schedule for courses offered on a semester basis.

Days of Withdrawal

1-14 days = 80% refund less $3.00 processing fee
15-28 days = 60% refund less $3.00 processing fee
29 days or more = 0% refund

Refund policy for short-term courses (courses not offered on a semester basis):

Percent of hours of Instruction Completed

10% of hours of instruction completed = 80% refund less $3.00
11% - 20% of hours of instruction completed = 60% refund less $3.00
more than 20% of hours of instruction completed = 0% refund

*Calendar days include weekends and holidays. NOTE: A $3.00 processing fee will be deducted from the above amounts. Classes with insufficient enrollment may be canceled by WCTC and all fees will be refunded.
