Dear Internet Student:
Welcome to Waukesha County Technical College and thank you for
enrolling in our Online Campus program. WCTC Internet courses
are designed for the independent student who needs a flexible
learning option to fit their busy schedule. We believe that you
will find learning via the Internet an exciting new way to earn
college credit regardless of your schedule or where you might
live and work.
To ensure that your learning experience is a positive one, we
would like you to carefully review the online
Orientation on
the WCTC Distance Learning webpages. The orientation contains
some very important information that you will need to get started
and be successful in your online course.
Students who need assistance using Blackboard or any other student
computing resources can stop by the Omni Tech Technology Center
lab and talk with the staff at the Student Help Desk. In the
event that you need assistance off campus here are the numbers
you can call:
- Blackboard technical assistance: Student Help Desk at 262.691.5361
(M – F 8:00 am - 10:00 pm and Sat. 8:00 am - 3:00
pm).
- General questions: Linda
Perenchio (262.691.5314).
If you are new to online learning we strongly encourage you
to attend a WCTC on-campus Blackboard Orientation session offered
the first two weeks of each semester. Held in the Omni Tech Technology
Center on the Pewaukee campus, these sessions will help you learn
to navigate and use Blackboard tools. Orientation dates and times
will be announced at the start of the semester in the Blackboard
Getting Started course.
Good luck with your Internet course and have a great semester!
Sincerely,
Randall P. Coorough, Ph.D.
