Sign Language Classes Offered at WCTC
WCTC is offering "Sign Language I" on Tuesdays, June 17 through August 5, 5 p.m. - 7:55 p.m. This beginning course in sign language and finger spelling is ideal for individuals who wish to communicate with hearing-impaired adults in a variety of social, business, and educational settings. Students will learn to produce and read approximately 300-500 signs and the manual alphabet. Cost is $67.08. Register for CRN 5887, Sign Language 1, 262.691.5578. American Sign Language I, Part I "American Sign Language I, Part I" is being offered at WCTC on Wednesdays, June 11 through July 30, 9 a.m. - 11:55 a.m. Learn to sign in a fun, natural way, using the context of daily activities in order to communicate with children or adults who are deaf or hard of hearing. ASL grammar, finger spelling, and numbers will be covered. In addition, students will learn appropriate behaviors to show awareness and respect for individuals who are deaf or heard of hearing when you encounter them in social, business, or educational settings.
