Information about the Wisconsin GI Bill Benefits
The Wisconsin G.I. Bill provides a waiver ("remission") of tuition for eligible veterans and their dependents for up to 8 full-time semesters or 128 credits at any University of Wisconsin System or Wisconsin Technical College System institution. Qualifying veterans receive a 50%-100% remission at semester beginning.

How do I apply for the Wisconsin GI Bill Benefits?
- Complete the WDVA B0105 and submit to the Veteran/Military Benefits desk within 14 days of the start of the semester
The WDVA B0105 can be obtained from the Veteran/Military Benefits desk in C-019, can be downloaded from the web.
Within the WDVA B0105 you will find WDVA 2029, WDVA 2030 and WDVA 0001 on pages 9-13. All of these forms must be completed.
- Submit a copy of your DD-214 to the Veteran/Military Benefits desk in C-019
Payment Information
The Wisconsin GI Bill provides 50% remission of program fees (tuition) and material fees for eligible veterans. This increases to 100% effective with the 2007 summer session term. It does not pay for student activity fees or books.
If your eligibility has not been established by the time that tuition fees are due you will be required to pay them.
The eligible spouse, surviving spouse, or child of veterans receives a 100% remission of program fees (tuition) and materials fees. It does not pay for student activity fees or books.
