    What is a Federal Work-Study?

Federal Work-Study is designed to promote the part-time employment of students who are pursuing an eligible degree at WCTC. Work-Study, because it is federally funded, is included in the total financial aid package you have been awarded. If you have not been awarded Federal Work-Study and are interested in employment, please contact Financial Aid to see if you may qualify.

Even if you have not been awarded Federal Work-Study, feel free to use this page to assist you in your employment search.

How do I apply for a job?

    1. Complete the FAFSA

In order to be eligible for Federal Work-Study you must complete the FAFSA and have financial need.

    2. Search for a job

WCTC relies on a web based data system for viewing and posting on and off campus student jobs. The system is called TechConnect. Create an account and view jobs.

    Payment Information

Federal Work-Study is paid to you in bi-monthly paychecks just like any other part-time job. Your Federal Work-Study earnings are not automatically subtracted from what you owe WCTC.
