    CCID

As a member of Community Colleges for International Development WCTC participates in selected staff and student initiatives and opportunities.  The mission of CCID is to provide opportunities for building global relationships that strengthen educational programs and promote economic development.

CCID is developing a "rolling" three to five year professional development program for the staff and faculty of CCID colleges. The goal is to have at least one program offered each year, at reasonable cost, to allow colleagues the opportunity to visit other cultures, in a "non-tourist" educational context. Each program will provide participants information about the culture and education system of the country they are visiting. Many of the programs will focus on parts of the world where CCID development activities are taking place. Programs are designed to attract interest from community college faculty, administrators, international education officers, and staff. The Ecuador Nursing Troika is an example of how our students benefit for CCID programs.
