What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a method of training based upon an arrangement
between an employee (apprentice) and an employer or joint apprenticeship
training committee. An agreement or contract is drawn up detailing
the areas of training, hours of training and salary during the
training period. The State agency that draws up the contract
is the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Bureau
of Apprenticeship Standards.
