8-credit technical diploma

While most fire departments in Southeastern Wisconsin require, at a minimum, State of Wisconsin Firefighter I certification to be a firefighter for their department, the state has several additional certification courses that fire departments find desirable in a firefighting candidate. The Fire Service Certification Technical Diploma combines four of the most desirable state certifications into a single Diploma program: Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Company Officer I, and Driver/Operator- Pumper. Students obtaining a Technical Diploma in Fire Service Certification from WCTC are recognized for taking the initiative to improve themselves and their department through these four certification courses.
