Typical duties include positioning patients to acquire needed films, selecting appropriate x-ray exposure factors, aligning x-ray equipment, processing images photographically or electronically, and storing and retrieving images.

Graduates of this program are eligible to take the entry-level certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiography Technologists (ARRT). This program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology, 201 N. Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL, 60606 312.704.5300.
