How to Apply to an Allied Health Program
- Complete the General
College Admissions Process.
- For the Allied Health Programs, you must sign up to attend
an informational meeting. The counselor will explain prerequisites,
testing, wait lists, and courses to take. This is mandatory.
Check on upcoming dates and sign up
for a meeting.
- You may want to access more information about your selected
career. You can go to the library and check out a tape on your
profession. It provides you valuable insights into your career.
Another option for you is to job shadow. Many facilities will
offer you this opportunity if you contact them and indicate
your intentions of starting a program of study in this area.
- Now that you have completed the above steps, you are ready
to fill in the "check off form" and send it to your
counselor. Once this form is received you will be placed on
the program clinical wait list.
- Now that you are on the wait list you will need to complete
the following items just prior to your entering into the clinical
classes.
