  About the Program

67-credit associate of applied science degree program

Through WCTC’s Mechanical Engineering Technology program, students will learn computer-aided drafting, basic mechanisms, strength of materials, and 3-D modeling. Mechanical Engineering Technicians assist engineers in product design, development, and in the manufacturing process of machinery, equipment, consumer goods and other products. They prepare technical drawings that depict product details, dimensions, structure, materials and manufacturing procedures. Mechanical Engineering Technicians may employ techniques of computer integrated manufacturing. Upon graduation from WCTC, students may transfer to Marquette University’s Mechanical Engineering bachelor's degree program. Along the way, the student will save time and money and potentially benefit from employer tuition reimbursement while studying for the bachelor’s degree.
