How to Apply to WCTC
Re-Entry Student Admissions Process
- Complete an application/$30 application fee.
Apply online or if you prefer to complete the application by hand, print one out, or pick one up at any WCTC location.
Complete the application
and return it with the $30.00 application fee (check,
money order, or credit card).
Note: Per Technical College
Statute 10.07 "Program
Admission Priorities", Program Admission Priority
must be given to WCTC District residents per the following:
- For programs commencing any time during the
fall semester, the preceding January 1.
- For programs
commencing any time during the spring semester, the
preceding May 1.
After the dates provided above,
district residents shall have priority equal to non-district
state residents for program admission.
- Request
official transcripts.
Re-entry students may be required to re-submit transcripts
depending on the circumstances of the re-entry. Contact the WCTC
Admissions Office for information regarding this requirement.
Request official high school and previous college transcripts
be submitted to the WCTC Admissions Office. Transcripts must
be sent directly from the issuing high school and college; transcripts
marked as "issued to student" or "unofficial" will
not be accepted. College transcripts are used for credit transfer.
All documents that you submit, or are submitted on your behalf,
become the property of the College, and will not be released
to you or any other party.
- COMPASS Assessment.
Re-entry students may have to re-take the COMPASS Assessment
depending on the circumstances of re-entry. Contact the WCTC
Admissions Office for information regarding this requirement.
Re-entry students that are required to re-test may schedule
a time to take the COMPASS online or
by calling 262.695.6215.
Important Note
Some academic programs have additional requirements
(CPR certification, Portfolio Review, Good Driving Record, Criminal
Background Check, etc.). You will be notified if the program
for which you are applying has additional requirements.
Students are encouraged to meet with a Program
Counselor to discuss program information, course
selection and registration.
Students may start the financial
aid process by contacting the Financial
Aid Office at 262.691.5436 as early as possible.
